Under the patronage of the French ambassador in Syria Eric Chevalier, the Syrian International Academy for Training and Development has organised the graduation of Media Diploma, second class students, their certificates authenticated by Radio Monte Carlo, Radio France Internationale and SIA. Held in Four Seasons Hotel, the occasion also included the graduation of Syria's General Authority for Radio and Television media students and.The graduation was attended by SIA Chairman Dr. Nizar Meihoub, board of trustees, vice president of Damascus University Dr. Mohammed Mardini, Director of of Saudi Research and Development Foundation Dr. Ghaith Far'oun, Director of Syrian television Dyana Jabbour and a number of diplomatic body members.Dr. Meihoub talked about the Syrian-French cooperation importance in the training field which we are benefiting from nowadays, and expressed his hope that this cooperation will add to the good relations between the two countries.Dr. Mehoub thanked Dr.Ghaith Far'oun for yearly Rashad Far'oun Educational Scholarship which helped more than 50 students and trainees last year. After a week full of activities, workshops and lectures, students of
Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution Program and International and
Diplomatic Affairs Diploma in the Syrian International Academy
celebrated their graduation. A legation from George Mason University in
the U.S has participated in the graduation.The graduation, organised by SIA
in coordination with GMU, was held in Dedeman Hotel, Damascus and
attended by a number of ambassadors and diplomatic body members. SIA
Chairman Dr. Nizar Meihoub and board of trustees were also present.In his speech

IN Damascus, last Thursday, a workshop on "Women's Role in the Civilization & Religion Dialog," organized by the Canadian Embassy in Damascus and the Syrian-Canadian Association for Public Relations and women for peace in the Middle East, at the location of the Syrian International Academy for Training and Development.The workshop discussed the dialog between civilizations and the underlined similarity betwixt religious belief and common values; as well as women's values and their role in defying discrimination in the world.
